Amen
Mar 19, 2025
It's strange to be back from the high of Israel. A place where the land itself is singing. Humming beneath your feet, vibrating in the air; moving through you as you make your way down the Old City streets, swept into the rhythm of something ancient and alive.
It's the same song that has carried our people for thousands of years. The same song Elimelech stepped into when he became a Bar Mitzvah. The same song I stepped into when I chose to fully claim the name Azamra. And the same song I invite you to step into now.
In Israel, when something hits deep, when truth lands straight in your soul, you say Amen. You claim it. You let it take root and change you.
Did you also notice that Amen sounds a lot like I’m in?
Because to say I’m in is to say Amen. It's to say yes to something bigger than yourself. It's to step forward before all the answers arrive.
Most people I know like to wait until they feel 100% ready before committing. But studies have shown that leaders tend to make their moves at just 20% of their gut knowing.
They hear the whisper before the world confirms it. They trust the melody before they know the lyrics. And that is why Azamra is different. We’re not a cohort waiting for certainty. We’re a cohort of leaders.
Azamra is not just a breathwork training. It is a sharpening of the senses. A deepening of intuition. A space where we bring expertise, but also Hashem, Torah, and a tremendous amount of siyata dishmaya.
Azamra is not for everyone. It’s for a certain kind of person. The kind who is willing to go the extra mile, take responsibility, and walk straight into the unknown because they understand that’s where true transformation happens.
If you're waiting for a sign, this is it.
If you're waiting to be absolutely sure, this training is probably not for you.
Intuition is not a luxury. It’s as vital as sight, hearing, taste, touch, and smell. In Jewish thought, it’s called bina yeseira, an extra measure of understanding that allows us to grasp truth beyond logic, to see what isn’t visible yet, to know before we know.
I named this training Azamra because I believe breath is a form of song.
The people in my inner circle, the ones who thrive in this work, are those who are called to the melody. They hear it. They feel the vibration. They move to the rhythm of something beyond words.
Azamra is about so much more than the mechanics of breath. It’s the language of the unseen, a portal into what lies beneath the surface. As facilitators, we can’t walk others along this path if we don’t know how to trust what might lie beyond logic.
I get it. I’ve lived it. I’ve stared uncertainty in the face more than once. I’m a mom who has had to read between the lines of cries, silences, and a thousand unspoken things. A maverick who walks in two worlds, trusting what can’t always be seen, felt, or explained. I’m also a two-time cancer survivor, and if I’ve learned anything, it’s that life doesn’t wait around for you to be 120% sure.
